Iberville Museum is happy to announce our new Director/Curator, Meghan Sylvester! A native of Ville Platte, LA, Sylvester earned her Master of Arts degree in History with a concentration in Public History from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2017. Her focus was on historical interpretation and digital history. She also received a Bachelors degree in History with a minor in French in 2015 from ULL.
Prior to joining our institution, Sylvester worked as a Graduate Assistant for the Center for Louisiana Studies and held an internship with the National Park Service, John H. Chafee Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor, in Rhode Island where she did preliminary research for new exhibits and engaged in collections management projects.
